Sponsorship is the backbone that helps make an event successful. With proper planning, execution and budgeting, sponsorship raises the level of awareness, excitement and participation to any event. The Cowboy Action Shooting™ community is a close knit group that truly embraces hospitality and directly supports businesses that support the group. The 2015 SASS FL State Championship truly made an impact to local businesses on a weekend that “officially” kicked off the slow season for the tourist industry (New Years – Daytona 500). We purposely chose this weekend to extend the tourism and bring in additional revenue to St. Augustine but we need your help in sponsoring this event and bringing awareness to your business and the benefits of vacationing in St. Augustine. Your sponsorship will help us broaden our advertising of the event and help increase the current number of out-of-state participants and spectators that will ultimately patronize your business.

VENDOR OPPORTUNITIES
The SASS FL State Championship is a highly anticipated Cowboy event of the year in the southern U.S. and provides a great marketing opportunity for a limited and select group of quality vendors. The SASS FL State Championship is your opportunity to enhance your image, product awareness, and sales in the Western lifestyle, outdoor, and sport-shooting marketplaces. Authentic Western garments, boots, hats and belts are always among the most popular items offered. Other best sellers include leather accessories, art, leather holsters, authentic and reproduction firearms, Cowboy accouterments, and Western or nostalgic collectibles, knives, along with many other items.

The hosting facility, Ancient City Shooting Range, features a large vendor and spectator area. With hundreds of people anticipated to attend this annual competition, the event is a great investment, marketing and merchandising opportunity. Booth space is available to all sponsors and other vendors on a first come, first served basis.

The largest cowboy action shooting competition in the State of Florida, the SASS FL State Championship is a four-day event that draws more than 300 authentically dressed competitors from around the United States in celebration of the Old West Cowboy lifestyle, surrounded by a three-day festival that is an awesome spectator sport, open to the public and features local food, unique merchandise vendors and activities for the entire family. 2012 marked the first year St. Augustine, FL hosted this annual event after 14 years in Orlando, FL. With over 30 states represented, Ancient City Shooting Range was host to 342 competitors, 25+ vendors and over 600 spectators in this 3 day event.

The 2016 SASS FL State Championship is hosted by Ancient City Shooting Range along with the Ghost Town Gunslingers and is open to the public. Jan 7-10, 2016. Admission is $5.00. Event hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday – Saturday, 10am to Noon Sunday.

ADVERTISING
This is a GREAT way to help support the event and get a wagon load of Cowboys & Cowgirls headin' to your business. The SASS FL State Championship produces a shooter’s handbook used for the duration of the event. The shooter’s handbook features valuable information for the shooters and spectators. The handbook includes the shooter’s schedule for the event, stage designs and narrated stories. A limited amount of advertising space in the shooter's handbook will be available to our vendors. The program is distributed to every participant, vendor and sponsor and available to the public as a souvenir of the event.

December 15, 2015, is the deadline for placing an ad in the shooters handbook and space is limited. The above rates are based on the advertiser providing a digital format of the ad via e-mail or on disk in .cdr, .jpg, .pdf or .tif editable format. The 2015 SASS® FL State Championship welcomed over 340 competitors (averaging a three-night stay) from 30 states, as well as Canada as they vied for the Top Gun position in their category. This event brings 95% of its participants outside of the St. Augustine/Jacksonville area staying a minimum of three days. Participants that we feel need direction and incentives on where to shop, dine, relax and have fun in St Augustine and let’s face it, with all of the choices St Augustine has to offer, they are more likely to patronize the businesses that are associated with the event. Your consideration to sponsor, advertise or be a vendor at the 2014 FL SASS State Championship will prove to be an investment with a long lasting return.
